The Ela-Shield (pat. pending), is a fall protection system to cover the opening of an elevator shaft or any opening, while under construction. The unique features of this system offer you the maximum in safety with the cost savings of a re-useable asset.
The design offers you the advantage to cover a 6’ wide (standard size, other widths available) elevator door or any opening. It is attached to the floor and ceiling by adjustable support poles (8’ to 12’ height) with top and base plates. The unit is 8’ tall, constructed out of steel with 1” square mesh wire partition. The door is a self closing wire partition door, constructed out of the same materials. It includes a key lock on the outside (master keying or individual) and a turn handle on the inside of the door. The color is OSIA Yellow, in a powder baked finish which is rust resistance.
Due to the unique design this unit can be installed in approximately 30-40 minutes. When construction is completed it can be removed and used over and over again. All parts are replaceable and panel sizes can be changed to fit different size elevators or openings (stairwells, windows etc).
Do you now use wood 2 X 4’s and plywood, which fall apart and damage easily? Is expensive to buy and install and gets thrown away after the project. Does it offer the best protection to your workers? Or do you use chain link fencing, which is also expensive, hard to install and is discarded after use.
Now you can save time and money, have a re-useable asset; give the best protection available, all at a very reasonable price. These units can be stored flat on pallets.
